
National Environment Agency (NEA) that the red ink is used in the printing of drink packaging and is not toxic.
NEA will be prosecuting the company that is responsible, although the ink is biodegradable and has no adverse effects on the environment, other than the temporary coloration of the water.
"We would like to advise your readers not to be alarmed by the discharge," added the NEA spokesperson.
This is the first spillage incident for the company involved.
